DESCRIPTION: Here I have made yet another good use of HapSlash's terrific Anakin model, reskinning it to resemble Obi-Wan Kenobi as he appeared before Episode II. I found the old Episode I Obi-Wan skin (the one made for JO and included in MD2) a little bit sketchy and outdated so I felt like making my own skin. I took the original Obi-Wan face texture and kind of blended it into the Anakin EP2 texture so that the skin would resemble Ewan McGregor in every possible way (at least to me, I don't know what other people would say, nor would I care much other than to improve myself through constructive criticism and not blant critique). The only thing I couldn't do was the extensive widow's peak on his hairdo... his hair kinda recesses in the front in the movie, just a bit.
Beside the default TPM skin, there are also 4 other skins:
- obiwan_ep1/default_robed - TPM skin, with robe
- obiwan_ep1/default_hooded - the above, with hood raised
- obiwan_ep1/default_jk - Jedi Knight version; this is his appearance shortly after TPM, prior to and during the time the Outbound Flight incident occured. I think that JK3files hasn't had a shaved Obi-Wan with long hair yet, but this IS his cannonical appearance from that time, rest assured.
- obiwan_ep1/default_of - the above, with robe
I didn't include any screens of the other skins, since I want whoever downloads to be a little surprised :)
NPC Support: No; because I'm not good at compiling precise NPCs.... yet.
Team Support: Partial; only the default TPM model has team color variants.
New Sounds: No; because the sounds provided by HapSlash didn't all work in both SP and MP.
Bot Support: No; didn't care, maybe next time... maybe.
Oh, and I didn't include the lightsaber hilt which was in the screenies, I figured people already had a bunch of hilts installed, and I din't want to cram their hilt listings with duplicate hilts, no sir.
I hope my skin will be used someday in the next release of Movie Duels... that mod is so great, but it's also my oppinion that it needs a lot of work in order to reach a professional level of quality as a game expansion pack.
BUGS: None.
COMMENTS: This mod is considered public domain and is free for use due to the fact that it was entirely created by me. You may use this mod to your discretion freely, however you are not allowed to use it in any type of commercial or retail purpose. I've made it free, and it should thus remain free. If you are going to use the models/textures anywhere, make sure to give proper credit so as to the author.
CREDITS: Again, I would like to credit HapSlash for his great work on the original models. May the Force be with you, man. It has been so far :D
